Meet Taralee

1. Someone gives you an elephant. You can't sell it or give it away. What do you do with the elephant? Keep him. The kids would love it. Maybe he could help drop the kids off to school occasionally and water the garden.
2. If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why? As a child who was constantly in the ocean or pool, I would love nothing more than to be able to breathe and talk underwater.
3. Why are manholes round? I guess they are round as it’s the safest option?
4. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be and why? A willow. They are strong but flexible, they move well through storms but don’t break easily.
5. What two items would you take with you if you shipwrecked on a deserted island where all your food and water needs were taken care of? A hat and lip balm.
6. Are you a gatherer or a hunter? Definitely a gatherer.
7. What was the last gift you gave someone? A framed poster with 13 reasons listed to why we love them.
8. If you could compare yourself to an animal, what would it be and why? A wolf. They are loyal, reliable and aren’t afraid to stand alone.
9. What would you do if you found a penguin in the freezer? As a mother of three, this wouldn’t even shock me. He would live in the bathroom.
10. Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck? 100 duck sized horses - how cute.
11. Describe the colour red to someone who is vision impaired. The colour of the sky on a warm summers evening, the colour of your cheeks after a few glasses of wine, and the colour your heart beats.
12. What would you do if you were the only survivor in a plane crash? I wouldn’t move far from the plane but I would begin making shelter and gathering supplies.
13. If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room for the rest of your life, what song would you choose and why? Tough one. Brown eyed girl - Van Morrison or I won’t back down - Tom Petty - both uplifting and inspiring.
14. How do you think people would communicate in a perfect world? More phone calls, more face to face conversations and more handwritten letters. I miss those.
15. If you could get rid of one state, what state would it be and why? None. Each State is different and has its own unique qualities.
16. What advice would you give to your previous boss if you could? Let your staff know what’s important.
17. What do you think about when you are alone in a car? A million things, so many tabs open, conversations galore and music blasting.
18. Would you relive your days in high school if you could? 100% - some of the best days of my life and it would be so good to see those that aren’t here anymore just one more time.
19. What would your eulogy say? She was never lost for words, loved a good chat, kind, caring and spent her days trying to be the best mum she could be.
20. If I gave you $50,000 to start your own business, what business would you start? A book cafe that sells flowers - read books while you drink coffee or pop in for a cake and flowers.
21. If you had a time machine, would you travel to the future or back to the past? Back to the past. Would love to meet my ancestors. And to try on all the fashions over the years.
22. What fictional character do you identify with the most and why? I would say a cross between HeiHei the chicken from Moana and Katniss Everdeen - I would bounce between the two.
23. Describe the purpose of this job to someone from another planet. To provide a personal service and enjoyable experience for each customer.
24. What kid's movie is scary to you? The Witches (1990) That grand high witch was terrifying as a kid.
25. If you had to work, but you didn't need the money, what would you do? Bake cakes or sell flowers.
26. What part of the human face is your favourite? The smile. Your whole face changes in an instant.
